Availability: Yes |
This new & improved professional stainless steel grinder with conical mills gives you consistent precise grinding while maintaining coffee quality and aroma intact. Capacity of beans bowl 250 gm. Stainless steel appliance body.
The Lux Grinder is specifically calibrated to make fine grind for primarily espresso coffee machines.
It does not do coarse grind for french press or drip coffee machines.
250 gr bean container.
The grinders are conical, in hardened, tempered steel, to guarantee a long working life and excellent performance over time.
Unlike flat grinders, the conical type allow coffee to be ground to exactly the right particle size.
The powerful motor is equipped with a reduction system allowing the speed to be cut from 10,200 to 800 RPM.
A low milling speed is very important since it ensures the coffee is not overheated, leading to a burnt flavour.

I've only had this grinder for 3 days but must say it gives a very consistent espresso grind. I tried it on the lowest 3 settings... if you like Turkish grinds those are the settings for you. I own 3 lever espresso machines and 3 semi-autos and the lowest settings I have had success with are the #9 on the semis (Rancilio and Gaggias)and the #6 on the levers (Pavoni and Ponte Vecchio). I am sure with a different roast and bean type the settings will differ but not by much. Overall a great little countertop grinder for the price.moor (03-31-2008)
I've read a lot about grinders before I chose this model. I know that conical grinders help to preserve the most aroma in coffee, but I din not expect it will make SUCH a perfect grind. I am very glad with this unit! Kari (06-12-2008)
An excellent grinder for espresso, and a great value for $180. Only problems are it's very loud, and the chute has to be cleaned out quite often.Terry (10-13-2008)
While there are a few little things about this grinder that make it a little less than five stars per se, it is such a phenominal performer it makes up for it. Ok, the bean container is small and the power switch on the front is a little low. But the grinder is top notch. and as a doser I only grind what I use. As for noise, it's a lot quiter than my last griner (a Gaggia). All in all, the best bargain out there in my opinion.Jeff (11-14-2008)
I was looking for a stainless steel grinder to couple near my recently purchased e-61 espresso machine and since my previous rocky got rust stains. I didn't want a plastic grinder to stand near my stainless machine or a large Mazzer which I do not have space for on my counter. I preferred not to pass the $200 because I use it only twice a day. Not too many options...! I was skeptical at first because I was not familiar with this brand. I read reviews which were excellent but mostly not from the US so I decided to give it a shot. Overall I am very happy with my choice. This grinder is great performer, smaller hopper works for me, it is very precise in find grind, looks great and overall recommended. If you are like me within the budget and looking for high quality grinder to compliment your espresso machine, this is an excellent choice.Max (01-11-2009)
This is an amazing grinder, it could grinds fine enough to choke your espresso machine. I love to have a stainless steel grinder in my kitchen, and this is a perfect choice. Let me tell you a secret, it grinds much faster than the Mazzer Mini, maybe about 8 seconds faster. The only negative point is that it's a little bit loud.Michael (01-30-2009)
WOW! This is a grinder that is a true find.
Pro's: Great price, heavy duty burrs, powerful motor, small footprint, nice looking, grinds fine for espresso and finer if needed without mods, and will easily adjust to grind for course if needed. it is rated for grinding four pounds a day for three years so it will last, it looks nice too and is easy to clean. very simple.
my favorite is the bump switch on the front for dispensing straight into your portafilter basket.
con's: loud-but not too loud With 15 years of experience in the design and manufacture of electrical appliances, NEMOX is the world leader in the production of cold accumulating and coffee grinders.
