I've had one of these for 2 years now. It's a tank! Don't let the low price scare you. This machine blows the doors off others costing twice as much.Kate (04-17-2011)
This replaced my Saeco machine purchased as a refurbished from Starbucks about 10 years ago. It died over a year ago. I have been waiting to find an affordable and quality replacement. I purchased this machine this week. This unit is superior! Beautiful design, all stainless steel (except for plastic water container that fits neatly and snugly at back of unit), verteasy to use. Makes fantatic crema and the rubber foam tool on the steamer arm even makes laudable foam from soy milk, not an easy acievement--ask any barrista or barissto. I am a perfectionist about espresso and cappucino so for me to recommend this machine is significant. Note: be sure to prime pump as `extra sheet in box explains`. That info is not in the manual. If you don't, which I didn't, you won't get a good first cup of espresso. (You only need to prime before first use or after extended non-use.) Negative: pump thuds when preparing steam but it is minor flaw, in my opinion given the excellent results of the steaming capacity. Both espresso and steam units heat up fast. I highly recommend.Martha (10-15-2010)
My daughter purchased the Cafe Prestige for me as a gift for christmas. This is my first machine but I am so pleased. I use it daily and find it best performs when I clean the steam wand at least 3 times a week. Ben Davis (08-23-2010)
I purchased this (my first espresso machine) over a year ago and I can't begin to tell you how happy I have been with it. I make at Least 2 espresso drinks a day Every day and have had no issues. This unit is built to last with Heavy stainless construction. If you are looking for an Espresso machine that will last, THIS IS THE ONE!allen (01-26-2010)
One fantastic expresso machine, beats my $1200.00 by far. Great pressure, hot water and steamer. Russ Suender (12-13-2009)
I have this model about four years now and it's still working well.It takes awhile in my opinion to steam milk for capuccino and the four cup measure cup that is inserted ,can't be ordered as a spare part,so I have to settle for the small size which also comes with the machine.Otherwise it's a great machine for the money. I recommend it.
